OUR TEAM
Shelley Laing is the principal of Beachside Medi Spa and Laser Clinic and has had 25yrs experience in the field of professional aesthetics and skin care.
She graduated from the International French Beauty School in Neutral Bay and is a member of the APAN organisation.
Shelley believes in the benefit of skin care and educating clients to achieve optimal results. This dedication has resulted in strong relationships and proactive base of ongoing clients. They trust in Shelley and her staff because Beachside Medi Spa uses only scientifically proven and clinically effective aesthetic procedures and products.
These high standards have built a professional reputation that is well known in Port Macquarie. Shelley stays current on new procedures by attending laser and skin care seminars and conferences to stay in touch with scientific advancements and new product introductions.
Nichole Alpen is a fully qualified Beauty Therapist with over 20 years experience. She earned her teaching qualification, ran and owned Macquarie Beauty School and has taught at TAFE before joining Beachside Medi Spa team.
Nichole has participated in the extensive learning program and received a certificate for Laser/IPL training with a NSW accredited institute.
She offers a professional and customized experience by listening to client concerns and creating a skin care plan that will help achieve the desired results. She strives to educate her clients to assist in reaching their healthy skin goal. Her friendly personality makes for a relaxing, informative and enjoyable visit.
She is a very talented Cosmetic Tattoo artist for eyebrows and eyeliner and is fully trained and qualified.
Nikki McCann is a fully trained and qualified Beauty Therapist and has extensive knowledge of skin analysis, facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasions, Plasma Fibroblast and Laser.
Nikki is recognised as extremely professional, caring and an empathetic therapist. If you are looking for the perfect relaxing experience, Nikki will transport you there.
Renee Koehler is a fully qualified Beauty Therapist and trained in Canberra. Renee started her career as an acrobat for Cirque de Soleil and worked in Montreal. She is now passionate about skin care and skin correction and has the most incredible “hands”, you must come and try an incredible relaxing facial from Renee.

Salon Policy & Etiquette
Following thes helpful tips will enable the Beachside team to provide an optimum service for each and every client.
*Service
At BMS, we pride ourselves on quality work, quality products and a highly trained team. We provide thorough consultations prior to your service and we endeavour to ensure all clients leave the clinic 100% satisfied.
*Privacy Policy
BMS fully adheres to the Privacy Act 1988. The privacy act contains a set of standards for the handling of your personal information known as the National Privacy Principles (NPPs). We will never share your private information with any individual or company unless where permitted or required by law.
*Arrival time
Please arrive on time to your scheduled appointment. Arriving late may result in your allocated time being reduced. It is essential that you contact us if you will be running late so that we can try to accommodate you.
*Mobile phone
We kindly ask you that you turn off your mobile phones to silent when in the Clinic.
*For your piece of mind
Client safety and comfort is extremely important to us so at BMS we use mainly disposable equipment. Non disposable equipment is thoroughly cleaned with hospital grade disinfectant and Autoclaved. We have strict no double dipping policy for waxing procedures. We use high quality TGA approved Lasers and our Tattoo pigments come from USA.
*Booking Policy
All bookings taking more than 20 minutes require a $50 dpeosit to secure your appointment. In the event of not keeping your appointment without notifying us by phone within 24 hours, then we reserve the right for the deposit to be non refundable.
*Cancellation Policy
In the event that you are not able to attend an appointment, please contact BMS on 65833588 before 24 hours and re-schedule your appointment. This will assist us to ensure that we can accommodate another client who may be in urgent need of our services.
Every care is taken to ensure that you receive your service and treatment by a qualified therapist, who we are obligated to pay whether you show up or not. If you do not contact us before the 24 hours we reserve the right to not refund the deposit and will charge you $50 cancellation fee. Your co-operation is therefore appreciated.
*Refund Policy
When purchasing products, please choose carefully. We don’t normally give refunds just because you change your mind. You can choose between a refund, exchange or credit note where goods are faulty, wrongfully described, different from a sample shown to you or don’t do what they are supposed to do. Retain your receipt for proof of purchase.
